Meet Kimberley
Hi! I’m Kimberley. I am a Speech Language Pathologist with more than 10 years experience working in both New Zealand and Canada. I have worked in both the public (Ministry of Education), and private settings.
Prior to having our first child, my husband and I owned and operated multidisciplinary therapy centres in Auckland that included other Speech Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Dietitians. I was also on the board for Autism New Zealand for approximately 5 years.
Wanting to slow down for our family, ownership of that business was transferred, and I now work locally in the Devonport-Takapuna area on the North Shore, Auckland.
I have a special interest in working with children with speech sound difficulties (including apraxia of speech), and autism spectrum disorder.
How can 'Laugh’ support you?
Kimberley can visit you and your child at your home, or their early childhood centre/school.
Kimberley can support your child with;
Articulation/phonology (sounds they use)
Receptive language (understanding of words/communication)
Expressive language (use of words/communication)
Social communication/skills (use of language in social situations)
Play skills (independent or peer play)
Executive functioning skills (e.g. inferencing, working memory, initiation)
